COVID-19 Statement; Updated April 6, 2020

Dear Patients,

As all of you are know, our dental office is committed to achieving long-term dental and overall health in a relaxed and SAFE environment.

In light of the current Corona Virus/COVID-19 concerns affecting us here and abroad, we wanted to take this opportunity to update you on the precautions we are (and always have) taken at our office to ensure you good health, safety and well-being. Per the American Dental Association's guidelines, our office will be closed until at least May 4, 2020. We will be available for emergencies only.

Please know that we always have employed the most up-to-date infection control procedures that are an excellent deterrent to COVID-19 and every other virus. When we reopen our office you should be reassured that, in addition to our usual infection control measures, we are being even more vigilant in all of the areas of the office. We have removed toys and magazines from the reception area. When we reopen, we will be disinfecting surfaces, handles and chair arms in the reception area and in the bathroom throughout the day. Hand sanitizer is readily available in all areas of the practice for your use.

We also ask for your help in keeping everyone safe. If you are not feeling well, have a fever, cough or difficulty breathing, please contact your physician and call our office to reschedule any upcoming appointments.

It is in everyone's best interest to continue your routine healthcare, including dental care, especially yours! During this confusing and stressful time, staying healthy helps you fight off any challenge! Know that we take our role as your healthcare provider very seriously and are here to help.

As always, Dr. Cook may be reached on his cell phone (216)832-5666 for emergencies. Please stay safe, wash your hands, don't touch your face and use hand sanitizer, especially after opening doors. We are all in this together. Be patient and try not to obsess with the negative. Use this time to connect with friends and family on the phone, especially if you can lift someone's spirits.

Dr. Cook's New Normal: Phase I

We are serious about your safety. When we reopen our office, you should feel confident that we are doing everything possible to keep you and our staff safe.

Below is what you can expect on your next dental visit.

1. Scheduled patients will be advised to wear a mask or scarf and bring a cell phone to their appointment. Hand sanitizer will be available at the front desk.
   
   We encourage you NOT to bring unscheduled family members or friends to your appointment, especially children who would be unattended in the reception area.
2. Before entering, call our office and a staff member will meet you at the door, take your temperature (no touch) and ask you pertinent health questions.
3. If you have a temperature or answer yes to any questions, you will not be seen at this time and should call to reschedule.
4. If the reception area will not allow you to maintain a social distance, you will be asked to remain in your car for a call or wave at the door.
5. If we are ready for your appointment, you will be seated for your dental procedure.
6. If needed, please use our recently sterilized “no touch” bathroom before being seated by the staff.
7. Once seated, you will be asked to wear your mask or scarf during breaks between your procedures.
8. Once your visit is completed, the front desk will take payment and schedule your next appointment.
9. The reception room, doors and bathroom will be sterile wiped throughout the day.
